ENROLLMENT at A.I.

Enrollment is open and continuous throughout the year.  There are no academic prerequisites for enrolling in a class at the Institute.  High school or college graduation is not required to enroll.

How to enroll in a class at the Institute:

1. Select a class (or classes, or program) that you want to study.

2. Send the Institute a brief email, including:

        a. your name and preferred email contact address;

        b. a listing of the class (or classes, or program)  that

            you want to take;

        c. any additional information you would like to add.

3. You will receive an e-mail response from the Institute, including available days and times when classes can be scheduled with the individual faculty member.

(Note: At this stage, direct telephone contact with the faculty can be easily arranged to find out additional course information and to negotiate a class meeting schedule that is suitable and convenient for both yourself and the faculty member).  Of course, as a prospective student, your personal information and email privacy is respected, and your questions are always welcomed.

Study at the Institute:

It is expected that the student be committed and serious about the course program, including attendance, research, assigned readings, and course requirements.

As with the British (tutorial) model, the student will study one-on-one with a faculty member, (some on-going Yoga Meditation classes, and other specialized courses, are conducted as two or three day group classes, or as group research seminars).

A class typically meets one day a week for 1.5 to 3 hours.

A class has four (4 or more) sessions (or meeting periods).

A class may include: a lecture; a period of review, dialog or discussion of any assigned reading; and or, a selected and relevant media presentation with an interim discussion.

A written course syllabus will be provided to each student, including: class schedules; a list of required textbooks, and or additional pertinent reading; required course assignments, and or, research projects.

Three types of enrollment are offered at the Institute:

1. Enrollment in a class or an ongoing course, (eg., Yoga Meditation).

2. Enrollment in a weekend (F-S-S), or a two-day seminar. (eg., Reiki Certification)

3. Enrollment in a course of study leading to the Diploma.
