ANANADAMAYA YOGA MEDITATION:
Anandamaya Yoga is a wonderful process which is rooted in the traditions of Kindness, Intention and Moderation. The founder of Anandamaya Yoga, and Anandamaya Yoga Meditation is Joseph Meador, M.Th., Ph.D.
Anandamaya Yoga is a simple practice that resulted from a personal search, study, and exercise in the spiritual arts; then came the Awareness, and Anandamaya Yoga was founded.
It is well known that a regular practice of meditation can be useful for enhancing the ability to focus; to gain greater clarity and grounding in daily living; and for the natural reduction of stress.
It has also been said that meditation is a continuous flow of perception or thought, like the flow of water in a slow moving river. Most of us are already engaged in some form of meditative practice, although we may not consciously recognize it. In fact, those activities that bring us peace of mind or relaxation may be considered forms of meditation.
At the Anandamaya Institute, meditation is taught and practiced experientially to develop awareness and ability in Anandamaya meditation for the benefits mentioned above, as well as for personal relaxation and deeper spiritual restoration.
